1. Its lightness makes it easy to transport and install. Due to the high impact resistance of the raw materials, the wall thickness of the PVC-M pipe is thinner and the mass is lighter under the same pressure.
2. Good stiffness and toughness. While protecting the elastic modulus of PVC-U pipes, PVC-M pipes also improve the flexibility of the pipe and have excellent impact resistance, external impact resistance and strong environmental adaptability. The improvement of the resistance to environmental stress cracking enables the pipe to effectively resist the external impact on the pipe during installation and transportation. Compared with ordinary PVC-U pipes of the same specification, the impact resistance of PVC-M is significantly improved, and they can more effectively resist to point load and uneven settlement of the foundation.
3. PVC-M is sanitary and environmentally-friendly, produces no pollution or scaling, generates no bacteria and can ensure the quality of water during transportation. The pipelines are produced with a lead-free formula, and their sanitary properties meet the requirements of the GB/T 17219-1998 safety evaluation standards and relevant sanitary safety evaluation regulations of the Ministry of Health.
4. The connection of PVC-M is simple and reliable. The product can be connected easily with adhesive agent or elastic sealing ring, and can be installed easily and solidly.
5. The operation and maintenance costs of PVC-M are lower. The wall thickness of the product is thin, the flow diameter of the pipeline is large, and the use of this pipe can achieve energy saving and low consumption. The hydraulic gradient of PVC-M pipe is lower than that of PVC-U pipe. When the water pressure at the factory is the same, the water pressure of the user at the same location of the pipe network is relatively higher, which can guarantee more users’ requirements for water pressure and the operating cost throughout the year will be greatly reduced. The improvement of product toughness enhances the ability of the pipeline to resist water hammer, eliminates the damage of the pipeline during operation, and reduces the maintenance cost of the pipeline.
6. PVC-M has outstanding corrosion resistance and long service life. With excellent chemical resistance, the pipe can be used in any occasion suitable for ordinary PVC-U pipes. Under normal use conditions, the service life of PVC-M is 50 years or more.
