1. The Olive Blue Pipe PVC-O has unsurpassed impact resistance, which stands out even more at low temperatures. Even at -25°C, the impact resistance of Olive Blue Pipes will not be significantly reduced, which helps to expand the application area of Olive Blue Pipes and prolong the window period of pipeline installation.

2. The network-like laminated structure of Olive Blue Pipe PVC-O prevents the cracks from passing through all layers and effectively prevents the propagation of cracks, and reduces the risk of rapid crack behavior of the pipe wall.

3. When the material is subjected to internal pressure for a long period of time, the mechanical property of the material will attenuate, and this characteristic is creep behavior, but the creep deformation of PVC-O material is very small. It means that compared with conventional plastics,  Olive Blue Pipe PVC-O has extraordinary fatigue properties, making the service life of Olive Blue Pipes up to 100 years.

4. Thanks to their outstanding elasticity, Olive Blue Pipe PVC-O can withstand deformations of their internal diameter without the appearance of fissures. When the pipes are flattened or if they are involved in any kind of mechanical accident, they can go back to their original shape immediately. Therefore, the risk of breakage from land subsidence or sharp impacts such as from stones or machinery during installation is minimized.

5. Olive Blue Pipe PVC-O significantly increases the pipeline’s hydraulic capacity. The hoop orientation increases the internal diameter of the pipe and reduces the thickness of the pipe wall, giving the pipes a greater flow section. The internal wall of the pipe is particularly smooth, reducing load loss. The Olive Blue Pipe PVC-O has between a 15% and 35% more hydraulic capacity than conventional pipes with the same nominal outside diameter and pressure. This means that the Olive Blue Pipe carries more water but uses less energy than other kinds of pipes.

6. Excellent water hammer resistance. The Olive Blue Pipe PVC-O has a thinner wall and a larger inner diameter, so the Olive Blue Pipe has a lower celerity (up to four times less, the case of ductile iron pipes) than piping systems made of other materials. When the volume and pressure of the water delivered suddenly change, the resulting water hammer is lower. Therefore, when the valve and the pump are opened or closed, the occurrence probability of a pipe explosion accident is reduced or even eliminated, which means the operation of the pipe network is much safer.

7. The Olive Blue Pipe PVC-O is connected by elastic sealing rubber rings. Once it is connected, it will not move from its emplacement of move around. The pipeline is fully watertight and can avoid leakage of piped water.

8. Thanks to excellent corrosion resistance, Olive Blue Pipe PVC-O can transport corrosive fluids and can be applied for a long term in a corrosive environment without any protection or coating, saving costs. The corrosion resistance performance of Olive Blue Pipe ensures that the quality of the delivered water remains unchanged and will not suffer secondary pollution.

9. The weight of Olive Blue Pipe PVC-O is half that of traditional plastic pipes, and 6-12 times lighter than that of cast iron pipes. It is easy to handle and install. In most cases, no mechanical vehicles are required for handling and installation of them. Compared with pipes made of other materials, the installation speed of Olive Blue Pipe PVC-O is greatly increased while the installation cost is greatly reduced.

10. The biaxial oriented technology of Olive Blue Pipe has strict requirements on the purity and formula of the raw materials and fundamentally puts an end to the use of unqualified raw materials.  According to the tests carried out by the National Institute of Environmental Health Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Hebei Provincial Health Inspection Agency, the hygienic performance indicators of Olive Blue Pipe are in line with the requirements of Safety Evaluation Standards for Drinking Water Transportation and Distribution Equipment and Protective Material (GB/T17219).

On July 7, 2016, the Olive Blue Pipe 450 passed the on-site assessment of the production technology and application status conducted by the expert team of the Ministry of Water Resources and was listed as the key new scientific and technological products promoted by the Ministry of Water Resources.
The advantages of Olive Blue Pipe PVC-O also include saving of raw materials, low energy consumption in production, low operation costs of pipelines, and reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. It is currently the most environmentally friendly, energy-saving and safe water pipeline.
